  • a very sad day

    Hi all
As a keen fisherman of many years,a lot of which were spent as a child fishing from the cliffs at sandy bay i was devastated to hear of the terrible events which claimed the life of a fellow fisherman. condolences to his family and friends. Also as a member of the fire and rescue service i can tell everyone that the poor guys body was recovered today at approx 5pm.
    RIP

                      • Very sad, My thoughts are with his family and friends, and also full appreciation of the lads and lasses of the emergency services who tried to help. The weather is terrible and over the last few weeks ive been working as a driver for the ambulance services and I know that these people and those that attended would of given 200% to get to the lad..such a shame.

The rescue services also deserve credit as the conditions where terrible and we all know they did their best.
