  • sea state anybody???

    anybody know what the sea is like at the minute? thinking of heading to blyth area. any response appreciated.

    Was at the rocket pad in Whitley this morning about 9.30 mate and the sea was blasting in. White water as far as the eye could see!!! ,,,Well not quite but you get the picture.

          hi dave, there's a weather cam u can check on as well, just look on uk weather cams and it's cam 109, looks out over king eddies bay

            Nick, if I was able I would be on Blyth pier tonight, perfect conditions for it.

                i agree mate but am lookin after the bambino 2 nite coz the wifes at work, spoke to 2 blokes last nite who came down from blyth and they said it was quiet

                      Well I have never ever been brave when fishing and never will be lol.

                      Nick, you mentioned a possible trip to Craster on Thursday, if I were you I would try somewhere else. You can get some big surges up there when it is rough and I wouldn't fish up there at the moment if I was guarrantee'd a doubler every chuck mate Besides that, I reckon those rocks could be a bit on the slippy side too.

                              Blyth pier could be quite busy for a few days then as it often fishes better during the day, definately worth a try, well, if you can get parked and then get a mark on the pier lol.
