After going arse over tit at roker on the ice, my sundridge stormbeach pants got ripped to hell.. "Boll**ks" was my thought on both falling over.. and the sudden death of my most loyal and excellent Bib and Brace bottoms who have served me so well for 2 year.
So ive been hunting around for suitable replacements in the sales and online... I had hoped to pick up the Apollo bottoms cheap.. but theres no way id pay £70 for waterproof only pants, no matter how good they are.
So.. i found a rather neat alternative - Parallel Jump Ski Trousers
Sold at Royal Quays in the Mountain Warehouse - now half price - £30 a pop
As you enter the shop, they are immeidiatly to your right in the corner, bottom rail. There is thinner type of ski pants in the same colour and same price, so make sure you get the right ones - product number 013435.
Made from a thick waterproof canvas.. availible in black grey and blue. the Tags say: fully waterproof, thermal lined, 2 zipped waterproof pockets and rather neat Zip on and off Braces.. so the can be high waitband pants only or use the elastic braces to save a belt. I bought 2 pair im that impressed!!!
Really well made, easily on a par with Sundrige suits or IMAX on quality material and water and wind proof. Look like they can take a lot of damage. They feel like toast when i wear them quickly to try on in the house!
or if you dont like thermal lined thick waterproof pants.. The Glasgow Angling Centre are selling off the well loved mustard 4 seasons bib and brace for £20! ive got a pair of them on order as well!!!
