rough ground rod

could anyone recommend a decent rough ground rod for under £100, ive heard decent stuff about the rt accelerator and jus wundering if any1 on here has one and how they perform. also if any1 has a decent rough ground rod for sale pm me with details

I have an axcellerator and it's mint for the ruff stuff! excelent quality and only £100 brand new
The only other thing I can think of is a mk2 Greys Apollo, these are about as stiff as a rock rod comes and ya can pick a S/H one up for around £80

try a second hand sonic sk4, greys apollo mk1 (very rare now mind), ive seen the likes of the odd conoflex blast going for that king of money, there will be some bargains kicking about if you bide your time!

Adam, if you are on a budget of £100:00 and you are in a hurry for a rod you could do an awful lot worse than the RT Axcellerator. I don't have one but I know a few lads that have and none of them have complained about them for fishing the rocks.

If you are not in a hurry, have a look around all of your local tackle shops as they nearly all have second hand gear for sale now and you will find a decent choice too. A couple of good suggestions from David too.

i fish with both a dam adrenaline (same as rt axcellerator) and a sonik sk4 .... i tend to use the sonik more and more and only use the dam for high cliff fishing now

I really fancy one of these rods. If not I am looking for a second hand rough ground rod too.

the 14' Sonik sk4 and the Ron Thomson Axxelerator 13' 6" are the only two rods i have and both are ideal for rough ground fishing, i would say the axxelerator is slightly stiffer but only just hope this helps

Try ringing frasers mate as he gives 10% off his prices for nesa members he is in coatworth road or if he is a bit dearer ask if he could do a one for £100 he normaly is canny like that, thats where i got mine from
