The lug should should be ok but it will keep better if you lie them out instead of being wrapped up. Put them on a tray, cat litter size best, on a couple of sheets of newspaper and put a couple of sheets over them just to stop them getting dried out, fridge burn i think its called.

wouldn't bother putting it in the fridge with the temperature around freezing, rag will keep quite a while, but the lug can be a bit funny

It should be fine mate, I've had bait from there keep several days in newspaper, often after it's been out for a couple of sessions - they can look a bit dodgy when you open the fridge to have a look but a little tap on the container & they squirm to life.

Longer term though, water is definitely the best option.

              Cheers, Gary

                Lug

Never have the space in the fridge to use a tray with sea water, great if you have the space for a fridge just for your baits.
When i get my lug home i split them up into smaller amounts wrap them loosly in fresh newspaper and place in the salad box at the bottom of the fridge and i change the paper once or twice.
Can i add my worm is always shop bought and i only plan to keep it overnight and never longer and the lug is always ok.
Suppose it depends on the quality of the worm you buy, on how good it will keep.

be careful about putting them in sea water, if they have been kept in paper or anything else, sea water might just see them off.

I know he's not the best dressed man in Shields but that suit made out of old newspapers certainly turns heads

Nowt the matter with putting blow lug in sea water as already said, just enuff to cover their backs is good enuff, check the water every couple of days and also check for blown/dead worms and remove them. When you buy blow lug from the tackle shop they are kept in sea water so it makes sense to keep them in it, dont listen to the quote above.

just wrap them in small amounts ten in a packet ,look at them everycouple of days and remove any dead worms just place packets on garage floor.

how long they keep may depend how fresh they are when you get them.

it's alright if tyhey where kept in sea water, but if they have been kept in peat, paper or vamiculite they dry out and putting them in sea water is a no no
