Hi Scott and as I missed your first post a couple of months back welcome to NESA. I have quite a way to travel whenever I fish but your journey is a lot worse than mine, even if you were to fish in the Yorkshire area.

Which area's would you be looking to fish as a lot of the lads on here are in the Tyne and Wear and Northumberland area. There are quite a few from Durham, myself included and we seem to be getting quite a few more members from the Hartlepool area now too.

I have fished the Hartlepool area a little bit but not much so couldn't help you much there. Most of my fishing takes place between Tynemouth and Blyth with occasional trips further North or South Between Eyemouth and Whitby.

I think there would be plenty of lads on here that would be quite happy to meet up with you for a few hours, it's just catching things when plans coincide lol. We are out on 28th but I would be happy to meet up a few days later for a few hours if you would like to learn a few marks in the Tynemouth-Blyth area.

If you fancy it just give a couple of dates and I will see if I can make any of them.

    Jim.

to be honest i do not know the coast line at all around here, i would be looking to fish the north yorks coast around sandend area and up to shields. i am restricted to when i can fish over the next few months as i will be home alone with my son as my wife will be away to a hot country(afghan) for a few months so i need to be close if he gets bored or cold.

any help would be welcomed with open arms and if i can help with north scottish marks please ask.

Hi Scott, I thought I had this website in my favourites but I couldn't find it. Just spent an hour searching through NESA and pleased to say it is now safely in my favourites again.

        Photo Recce

It is owned by MikeR who used to post a lot on here a few years ago and who I had the pleasure of fishing with, a really great lad. There are loads of marks on here and it is well explained how to fish them.

Anyone wanting to fish that area could do worse than to have a look through this site.

Hope it helps a bit Scott.

        Jim.

Aye get it saved Scott, it should be a canny help to you mate. I fished Sandsend beach with Mike and it seems a fantastic mark, unfortunately the night we fished it I don't think anyone out of about 15 - 20 people caught a thing. The car park looks a decent high water mark where you could take your son but never fished it myself.

Scott, if your coming for a session "up North" on the 29th, high water is at around 13:00, low 19:30, there's a chance of a decent "lump" on, a couple of suggestions, Blyth South pier through daylight and drop onto Blyth beach after dark. Due to smallish tides you may struggle for a decent rock mark, perhaps try Cullercoats harbour (South side), depending an how early you get here/late you leave. Not a great deal getting caught a the moment it might be worth trying somewhere more local until the bigger seas come through in the new year.

you mentioned shields as one of the places you'd like to fish, well theres plenty of place to fish in shields
theres the pier with lots of marks to fish 2 beaches next to pier plenty of marks in river
several miles of coast of cliffs ,rock edges, and beaches all the way up to roker pier which is closed for repairs which would take to long explaining exactly how to fishh these marks

but theres a canny bunch lads who get on shields pier most saturdays who would gladly explain when and how t fish most of these marks if you like to give shields pier a go on saturdays
