    The ship open shore fishing competition date has been finalized the match will be fished on the sunday10th january over 7 hours fishing into darkness starting at 11am till 6pm weigh in in between 6.30pm-7.15pm back at the ship public house opposit whitby angling supplies on haggersgate whitby its codling only except for juniors its open boudries its one fish one prize except you can also win the heaviest bag juniors in this competition are eligible to win the major prizes if they a lucky enough to get the big one they will be able to win 1st prize of £500 tickets will be on sale at whitby angling supplies ,keith sports saltburn,bill costins scarborough.

    Sponsors are glenn stocks sponsoring 1st and 2nd place and matt randell landlord from the ship sponsoring 3+4th

    £500 1st for the heaviest cod

    £200 for the 2ND heaviest cod

    £100 for the 3rd heaviest cod.

    £75 for the 4Th heaviest cod.

    £100 for the heaviest bag

    £50 for second heaviest bag

    A special prize of £50 for 10Th place

    A special prize of £30 for 15Th place.

    Juniors £50 for 1st place juniors can weigh any fish in the junior section but can only win the major prizes with cod only .

    Entry fee is £10 Seniors

    Juniors £3

    All ticket money back in prizes

    Fishing times are 11am till 6pm weighin back at the ship 6.30pm till 7.15 pm

    Food will also be laid on

              Hi shaun a junior will become a senior from his 16th birthday onwards mate i allways try to encourage the younglads they are our future anglers i like to give them as much encouragement as posslible.

                  Yes bang on codseeker in this match all ticket money comes back in prizes plus this year the top 4 are sponsored seperatly so the placeing will give some very good prizes we allways try and pay cash prizes into 20th place plus with it being one fish one prize except the heaviest bag it gives a lot of people a bite of the cheery there is hot food also laid in the pub so all in all its a cracking match.

                      2 days to go hopefully very little snow on sunday so most spots should be excesable catch a cod lads and you should be in the money the weighin is between 6.30pm and 7.15 back at the ship opposite whitby angling supplies mat at the ship is putting hot food on .
