  • Another ---t day.

    Full of hope turned up at Seaham pier for 9 this morning. Started in the middle then the end then the gate went home 4:30 pm nowt caught and not even a bite. Oh and i bust an eye ring.

    thats our sport mick, hours and hours even days of waiting with nothing to show ,then when you least expect it , bang your rod goes down, a typical cod bite the adrenalin kicks in and you have a good un on the end of your line. and all the time you have been waiting in the freezing cold is forgotten .

          unlucky mick fishings a bit quiet atm i managed a tommy and a size codling last night 1st and second cast of the session then nowt rest of the night me mate had one just under 2lb

            Know how you feel

            Sometimes Mick I wonder why I bother aswell.

            Yesterday decided to have a few hours out. Didn't realise the boudaries of the open came so far north so when I got to the shore there was folk everywhere but still some room.
            Fished about 20 yards from a guy who started hitting fish after fish. I had about 3 bites of the grab it and leave it type and managed to eventually land a coley. The other guy ........ Steve Robinson ..........9 fish won the competition.

              Was fishing cambois pier Wednesday night through thursday morning and blanked!!! unbelievable wen i heard reports of decent fish gettin caught like the night before and sooo... on! just missed them thats all, wait till next time i say

                    Unlucky Mick, better luck next time m8!, I did the same, fished my local beach for 4hrs on sat nite, nowt not a bl..dy bite, but a dog walker giv me 5lb rays bream! he picked it out the surf still alive, but not much life innit when handed to me, took it home, filleted it cooked a bit, its tastes mint!!!

                      not to worry mick at least you give it a go ,i fished marsden beach on friday night mate missed a big bite ,pulled my rod up and over the rod rest !still missed it what a muppet i am ,and i blanked still gonna give it a go as soon as possible
                      species so far :cod,whiting,coalie,dab,flounder ,plaice,3bearded rockling,mackeral,granny fish best for 2012 :6lbcod
