I agree wiv ya codseeker, I really enjoy reading Sea Angler, and its helped me greatly since I returned to shore fishing this year, so many new techniques have developed m8! and the venue reports are welcome in my book, plus anyone fishing a pier anywhere just has to ask the guys he's fishing alongside him, I did in Sussex earlier this year, no problem!

Paul, i am sorry but the same old excuse "space is a problem" its a pretty lame excuse at that.
If space is the problem then why dont you prioritize the shops in order which are closest to any of the venues featured.
You say its only nesa who rag you, well not so long ago you were getting ragged from a few sites however thats not the issue.
The reason anglers from this region are making posts is because they know the facts in the feature are not totally correct, it begs the question how many other venues featured are incorrect! We dont know because we are probably not that familiar with some other areas.
The point you make about "Sat Nav" is also a bit cras as not everyone has a sat nav.
The simplest way would be to put the closest tackle shop to the venue or state your reccomended tackle shop ie, someone that advertises with you and i am sure this would stop the comments. If people think you are an idiot, why speak and remove all doubt !

Howay lads.....Lets try and make posts constructive.
If you have a beef with Paul, I'm sure a CALM, CONSIDERED PM to Paul, will result in an amicable solution, as I have found myself, rather than slating the lad.
If you raise an issue with him, I'm sure that it would be considered for future issues. We are all human after all, and an oversight in editing can be corrected.
As for travelling to marks hoping to find a tackle shop, I personnally would take my bait with me as their is no guarantee in this day and age that the tackle shop would still be operating, the owners may be on holiday or out for the day. I also wouldn't rely on everything you read or hear, as is often quoted in magazines, that just because a mark fishes one day, it's not guaranteed to fish the next."And I looked, and behold'a pale horse; and his name that sat on him was death, and hell followed with hi, and power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword and with hunger, and with the beasts of the earth"

would anyone actually go to a venue without any bait just hoping that the tackle shop might have some in stock?? bit of a non starter for me...as for sea angler, its probably the best mag around but very repetitive. same old topics year in year out and too many adverts for my liking. but i agree that the mag should either state local tackle dealers to the venue or not bother at all, saves all the confusion.

It is a pity that this could not be discussed in a decent way, but this happens every time there is a thread about Sea Angler magazine.
It won't happen again though as from now there will be no threads about that magazine at all. It is a pity but I can't see another way around it. At least the forum will be a bit friendlier though.
If any of you have any questions for Sea Angler in the future, please send them directly to the magazine and do not ask them on here.
Paul is not the Editor and quite obviously does not want to answer any questions about anything so please leave it at that.
Jim.Remember, some people are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.
