Thank goodness for that, a positive review - I didn't like the idea of 300 fisherman types killing me after making this recommendation!

Watch out with the batteries though - 3AAA's dont last long on the full beam.

Now put to backup use as the light does not diffuse as well as my 14-LED speleo thing for the beach. However, will use as main light when fishing the rocks.

Yeah, there is a lower beam - "bright mode" which lasts for a good while
