Would there be anywhere local I could buy bait on the morning of the match?

          Chippy.
ID Fishing in Chillingham Rd is open Sunday Morns. Not sure where you live or what you call local
Maker and inventor of CANNYLINKS, the best rotten bottom system bar none. IMHO!

Thanks Hiram A Biff, I live in Yorkshire so anything is more local than home. I\'ve used ID on Chillingham road for bait before, I doubt they\'ll be open early enough for me to get to Newbiggin before 8.00!!
I used to work for a company baed at Bedlington, staying at the Gateshead Marriot and even in the early hours, it took a while to get there.
The South Shields open might be a better bet then.

Scotts of Whitley Bay has an out of hours bait service. It might be worth giving them a try.
