Is there a "quick" way onto the pipe?

Or is it only via the long walk from the south end of Whitley Beach?

    Cheers in advance
    Ooh a new vid!

    Tony,
park next to the tennis courts on the main road and walk down the ramp...in the middle of the prom there are some steps next to the railings go down them.........be carefull though as there very slippy and the bottom few are broken.

depends on when you go. if your going sharp, best to park next to the rex somewhere and go down the prom via the beach, then along the old pipe onto the skeers, you can have a few chucks there until the pipe is uncovered. unless your keen like me and steve last comp, we were fishing on the pipe for 30mins with our seat boxes on our backs! lol

if you go down the ramp next to the tennis courts, over the railings near the red lift ring holders, down te slippy stairs. walk due east from the bottom of the stairs onto te pipe. if you head north, there are some dead drop offs ;D

I remember fishing with me dad on whitley pipe when i was 7 years old, (about 30 odd years ago) and we got caught by the incoming tide sneaking up behind us, he had to carry me off on his shoulders as the water was up to his waist. and he made me promise not to tell me mam or she would have killed him.. hahaha.
It's a thin line that seperates an Angler from a madman standing on the beach in january at midnight in -5 degrees with a northerly wind blowing in your face
