Just got mine delivered today, for £9 delivered I was sceptical of the performance, but WOW! the beam is amazing. Makes my petzl tikka look like a candle! Don't know how long the batteries will last but for getting on & off marks and then using another less powerful led lamp for fishing is probably the best way to use it.

the only reson i have a headlight is to bait up, or light up the ground, rocks i am walking over [a few yards at most ], i don,t need something that lights up blackpool pier , my tip light is my most important light.

I agree with you Paul, I use my dual beam lamp for getting in and out of the low water rock shots, and the LED's for baiting up or sorting tackle, and always use a tip light.
I fully understand the need for big powerful lights for getting on and off the skeers safely, or for Balcary or the Mull, but for general beach / pier fishing i think they are a bit heavy. just my opinion. How long do they take to get here?

tryed on me heed and it sits quite ok and not at all that heavy its just getting used to a new lamp really it has a full spot beam which can be focused to wider on the picture the crown shape barrel slides forward and back .has a dimmer setting then a flashing setting and ive put 3 aaa cheap kodak batterrys from pund shop in to try it works fine just need to try it when fishing in the dark etc and see how long it lasts

                      boys with new toys eh

                        Highly recomended from me!

hahaha! maybe. I still can't believe how cheap they are, think I'm gonna order another couple as spares.

Wouldnt be surprised if a big established name bought the design or patent or whatever, and with a few tweaks, started knocking these out for up to £100.
