    61st Open Shore Competition

    Sunday 15th November 2009
    10:00AM - 3:00PM
    1st Prize (Heaviest Round Fish) £500

    Alderman Barbour Trophy

    2nd Prize (Heaviest Bag) £300
    Lady Champion: £50 + Trophy
    Junior Champion: Rod & Reel Kit + Trophy
    Heaviest Flatfish: £50
    Many Supporting Prizes (Prize Table over £2000)
    Free Prize Draw for all at the end of presentation: Reelsport Blue Thunder worth £290

    Seniors (all classes) £9 Juniors (under 16) £2

    Optional Sweeps: 100% payout 1st, 2nd and 3rd
    (Pairs: £2.00 per team) (Heaviest single Fish: £1.00)
    (Superpool: Heaviest Bag: £2.00)

    Competition Details
    Fishing Times: 10:00AM to 3:00PM
    Weigh-in New Crown Hotel from 3:00PM to 4:00PM
    Registration at various tackle shops up until 4:00PM Saturday, or on the day from 8:00AM at the New Crown Hotel, South Shields.

    BOUNDARIES

    The area of he competition shall extend from the Groyne, South Shields to Roker Pier (excluding Roker Pier and its foundations). The South Pier (South Shields) is included bar the Round End, the foundations any part closed to the public are strictly OUT OF BOUNDS. In addition there are venues on the south bank of the river Tyne included, Church Bank, Hebburn Marina (excluding fenced off areas), River Police H.Q. Jarrow Riverside Park, Mill Dam and the Little Haven Riverside Park (Walkway). All other river marks upstream of the Groyne are OUT OF BOUNDS. Competitors are allowed to roam anywhere within the permitted boundaries.

    Please note. The SS&DSAC shall not be held responsible for any angler crossing the safety barriers on the Cliff tops, all anglers should take care. FISH SAFE.

        Forecast is for 30mph winds from the south to south east direction on saturday Pop so sea will be up mate, might see you around somewhere on the cliffs, dunno where yet, depends on how huge it will be!

              Dont think i'll get the thumbs up, but will help out with the raffle, etc. thanks for the coffee grinder Graham, at least i'll get a few chucks. ( in full camoflage )

                  Also on the prize table is a weeks fishing in Iceland (the country not the shop).
                  Flights, fishing, guides and bait included, worth well over £800.
