Guys i recently discovered one of the side plates on the magnet side of my Supermag had cracked. (seems a common fault).This is the second time i have had this problem.
Rang Penn and spoke to Michael down in Worc,s. He asked me to send the plate. I did so and a new one came back today.Its back on the reel now.
I was tempted to sell the reel on flea bay but to be honest i,ve really missed it. Seems much stronger than the 6500 (which i recently bought).
My Supermag is now two years old.

penn mags best reels out i think so . great reel try not to sell it mate you will just end up buying one again somewere down the line
