taking me 5 year old son for a couple hours tomorrow tea time for a couple chucks over high water is the tyne still fishing ok?? any feedback would be helpfull as long as his rod is knocking keeps him interested no matter how small the fish

visit to the tyne with junior.
morning bud, the tyne isnt doing to bad at the moment, however its bigger tides this weekend this meaning a lot more pull not very good for the bairn as he may get snagged more than fishing. my advice would arm yourself with some worms, rag, lug, and some mackerel for bait and get ure self down to mill dam at the customs house south shields, its a bite a chuck at the moment with small codling, whiting, coalys,& flounders, it also doesnt suffer tide pull as its out of the main channel. "ideal for youngsters" keep to small hooks size 1 etc, and you will just req normal 4 or 5 oz weights. tight lines, good luck.
