Anyone know where to get em in or around hartlepool? I've heard ya can get em from the chinese supermarket in Newcastle but thats a bit far to go!

i whitby st bit expensive though,cheaper buying the frozen one's from the tackle shops.never found the fresh ones no better than the frozen.

its on stowell street (bath lane end) in the china town area of newcastle not far from st james,s park

It's "Wing Hong" - as Roncoe says on Stowell at the far end, sells alsorts of stuff, usually has squid in at a decent price too.
