  • Usan Arbroath.

Me and my mate Blackrat set off for 3 days last Wednesday 4th Feb for some fishing up at Usan Arbroath. Before we left we noted the big seas from the North Easterlies crashing into Seaham pier so things looked positive.
We stayed at Carnousti Golf and spa club at a very reasonable rate or 3 nights (£85) each bed and breakfast.
Out on the Wednesday night and was gobsmacked to see it pretty calm fished falling tide from some skeers into heavy ground. It was tough going but I managed a Codling of 4lb 3 oz which was released. Chut had plenty of good bites and a tommy but failed to connect with anything of note.
Next couple of days consisted of plenty moving around to different marks and fishing well into the night but all to no avail. Wind, sunlight, u name it was against us..
    Mick.
