  • Numpty...

    Hi guys.

I rarely name and shame, but again a person has possibly ruined prospects for other anglers.

As most anglers know, the people that live beside the fairground have often been kind enough to open up certain gates to allow us anglers to park our cars and have access to drive close to the pier.

After a few 'dust-ups' they've restricted parking in the area, but now the parking could be further abolished due to an anglers idiocy and bad manners.

I dont know the angler in question, but he owns a Grey 2003 Ford Focus estate, Reg CN03 WHF, and he was approached by a property owner living there asking him to park his car elsewhere nicely, to which the angler replied 'f**k off*.

The property owner is now forwarding to have all parking there kept for residential use, and furthermore the angler has give us other fisherman a bad name. The lack of common sense on the anglers part is un-describable, possibly ruining access for others for ease of parking. Yes theres big car park nearby (pay and display), but its beside the point. Shame really.

Can,t understand the attitude of some asssoles . The resident had every right to ask the car be moved and common decency should have prevailed . Maybe the car owner felt he had been diss,ed and does'nt like being told to do something ( shows weekness) in his eyes . But as you say spoils it for everyone

Do the residents own the property where he was parked?

Wasn't going to it after having words for with a few people about it at the time, felt the person should be shamed, as it makes decent anglers bad who simply park in the area to go enjoy the sport without problems.

I'll happily remove the registration (if asked to by the person who shamed himself).

I agree, There is 2 sides to a story and maybe the person in question has a different story to tell he could have been approached with an attitude and maybe that is why he reacted the way he did,Or maybe he did not know it was that persons property... Personal details should not be posted on an open forum without that persons say so.

I think theres an awful lot more numpty/dickhead fisherman out there than we all like to think or admit too.
I came across one today who had a ridiculous reaction when I suggested his "6 pound" cod....was more like 3 pound. Sad thing was I expected such attitude from the locals on this pier.

What I'm saying is - I dont think it is just a few who spoil it for others!

I dont get how there can be another side to the story when the poor old bloke simply asked him to politely move his car to a different spot, replying the way he did abruptly is just poor manners. Silly thing is there was a few other parking spots available like 20ft from where he was parked. His reply wasn't needed in such a way and therefore I have posted what I felt. Like I said originally I dont know the guy, but is there really any need for his manners? It's questionable but it's obvious who's at fault.

Oh but I guarantee you can find someones name by a Reg plate and now his car could be a target for people! Its like saying a house number and street name is not personal info because anyone can see them lol And because there is always 2 sides to a story especially if you were not there so you don't know what was said, Fact of the matter is if someone accused you of something without knowing solid facts from both parties and then posted your car reg on a forum you wouldn't be happy

why should everyone suffer just because of one alleged ignoramus, surely if the residents own the land then they can pick and choose who parks there. if so they could block him . The rest of us can't be responsible for a few dickheads who show no respect and if the owner wants to stop everyone from parking there then maybe he was waiting for an excuse to do so.
