broke me duck

Hello lads just been down the steetly at hartlepool we fished just up from the north stand and there was a lovely sea running after about 40 minutes i had a nice codling at 2lb 7oz 1st in a long time and three whiting all around a 1lb, me marra craig had some cracking whiting about 1 1/2lb and a codling just under 2lb. we started at 12ococlck and fished till half 5. i was using lug and squid he was using rag and squid.
i was expecting a few small whiting as usual then the cod showed up and broke me duck.I thought i was going to continue where i left off last season with nothing but blanks. we going back down tonight and hopefully pick up some bigger fish in the dark. ill let you know how we get on tomorrow sometime, sorry theres no pictures yet as im trying to work out this '!"!$!%!didgital camera, no good with gadgets yet but ill get there.

I was on the Heugh from 1pm ish till 3:30pm, had 2 codling, biggest 2lb 5oz and a whitiey of about a 1lb. Only out a couple of hrs and really enjoyed meself!

fished the steetly at about the same time on the concrere block, did,t get nothing so we moved to just down from the north platform, i got two codling straight away one just over a pound and the second just over two pound ,you are right about the whiting steve the ones we were catching were the same size as my first codling ,saw plenty of fish landed on the jetty but no biggies ,not yet anyway ,still a good day had by all.

I've heard a rumour there was a 5lb+ cod on the jetty friday night, anyone else heard owt?

charlie from the friarage tackle shop told me it was 6lbs.
