Me and my mate headed down lynemouth beach to the right of the pipe, fished 6 - 10.30pm (low water 7.30pm 1.7m ebb). I started casting fairly far out and got nothing, my mate was chucking dead close in and got a double shot of flounders almost immediately. I carried on fishing further out while my mate carried on pulling in fish! So after 3 unproductive casts I swithced rigs to a 2 hook flapper (same as my mate) with size 1 hooks and started to get a few bites.
we ended up having a cracking night with my mate taking 14 fish 5 flounders (all undersize) 7 coalies (undersize) a tiny codling, a small rockling and a nice school bass about 1.5lb. I only managed 1 fish - a cod just over 2lb.
Between us we managed 15 fish admitedly mainly small but it was nice to have constant action!
All fish were taken on rag and lug and where all caught within 40-50 yards of the shore! (see links below for pictures)
All in all a canny session.
