  • winter cod

well after my first boat double figure cod in the summer (just off st marys)and the winter cod arriving the target is to catch a shore pig!!! given the weight pulling the cod in open water it must be hard getting the buggers in off the rock/beach! anyway thats the plan. so the question is if you were targeting a double where would you go?? I am going to try the following places over the next few months, tide and conditions being right:-

    1) cambois
    2) Whitley pipe
    3) Lynemouth beach (had best shore catch from here but also had most blanks)
    4) cullercoats rocks
    5) whitley beach
    6) and the seasonal session on blyth pier

    what would you plan be?

Well goodluck all for the winter cod and take care during those winter sessions on the rocks!! tight lines

any of the above could throw up a double.Nowadays must venues can produce a big fish, just that now their are less big fish to be caught and they could turn up anywhere.Everyone will have their favourite spot they like 2 fish and these marks are usually places where people have caught big fish or themselves have had a good catch.
