Are the Mackeys still here ?

Anyone know if the good old Mackerel are still on our shores or have they left for their hols in warmer waters ?
I ask as I am in Whitby for the weekend from tomorrow, and going on a charter on Sunday, and could do with some for bait and fancied having a go for some tomorrow afternoon - but if they have already taken off for the winter I am gonna look a right tw@t spinning for them !!!

Any decent Cod or anything taken from Whitby in the last few days ?
See if I can land a biggie from the East Pier tomorrow ><(((((ΒΊ>

Cant see it mate, i gave them a bash couple of days back..not a chance the water has gone cola colour again and there sandeel have gone so that means the mackerel will be long gone.You mightnget the odd one on bait but dont put your life savings o it.
