Shout out to Mr Broon Shoe for the tubes. Got me out of a hole with my courier so thanks for them. Hope you stop sounding like a dalek soon, get over the op and get back to King Eddy's before the season finishes mate.

Also thanks to Dave for the kind offer as well.

Good lads on here - sums up for me why it blows away the likes of the Locker.

getting the tube is the easy bit.
It costs an arm and leg to arrange carriage though.
Regular post office parcels won't take it, nor would most carriers such as TNT, UPS etc as it was too long.
I found a guy called Terry who does part time delivery. He picked up my rod and delivered to Hull a lot cheaper than anyone.

Was going to say the same thing. I sold a beachcaster on e-bay for £50. Got carpet tube took to post office and they refused as to big. Private courier was about £30 so did not bother. I had to withdraw from the sale due to costs.

                      .

I recently sold a rod to a lad in Wales and used a website called parcel2go. You put the dimensions of the tube in and it gives you a list of the companies that would take it, my tube was 220cm and the only company that would do it was TNT. It cost me £13.50, they collected from my door the next working day and it was in Wales the following day. Couldn't want any more.

Try a company called <parcel2go> on internet.
They arrange delivery and come up with a number of options and prices.
Sent a number of rods max cost £12.50 by TNT.
