i just use normal ones i just give it one at top and one at bottom just judge how hard you crimpit, to hard and you cut into line and to soft it slides up and down what i think will fray your line anyway so just a nice gentle crimp to hold it in place should work.
trial and error i say, everyone has there own way thats mine._______________________________________

I don't like using normal pliers cos ya can squash the ends of the crimps which might cut ya line.
Here's a link with loads of rigs on for ya to try.
All the gear, no idea.

They seam the centre of the crimp with a series of indents.
You should only apply enough pressure to stop the crimp from sliding, but not so much that you thin the diameter dramatically....it's hard to describe as it is feel...and practise ?
I haven't had any fail as yet....touch wood....
They were around £13 quid...and have paid for themselves...IMHO!
Green Handles, with lanyard....will look on fleaB...see if I can spot them ?
Mel....
Mine are 'Fox Predator', which seem to have been superseded by the 'Fox Rage'...Look the same but some of the piccies on FleaB seem to show some pliers with only 1 pair of anvils? It is the type with 2 sets you want, as the smaller size is perfect for 0.8mm crimps which is the size I use on all my rigs.

Try the breakaway adjustable crimps. You can apply them with normal pliers if your careful due to the rubber inserts inside of the crimp. Just consider though that adding crimps will weaken the line to an extent so apply them carefully so you don't end up with crack offs etc"In order to becomes old and wise, first you must be young and stupid."
