    i am thinkin about trying whitburn for the 1st time any info on marks and wot bait is best would b nice just been looking at pictures in sea angler looks a nice place 2 fish off the rock marks and cliffs but like i said never fished there b4.cheers lads codman2.

    The mudhole is always a good shot after a heavy sea if you walk from seaburn along the tops to whitburn at low tide you will see the mudhole it is right near the firing ranges for the army hope this helps
    target of 10 codling this season and gonna try for a pig!!!!1

            Its a canny way from the firing ranges, it fishes during a heavy northerly.

            And you dont loose that much gear.

              Take a look before you fish it sometimes it fill up with weed after a big sea.
              i have never lost any gear at the mud hole.

                Mud hole is a cracking mark fishes best on a huge northerly sea when most placesare unfishable,fish are almost at your feet in shallow water when conditions are right,might still be a bit snaggy this time of year,had my best bags there december/january.
