  • MOG in October - anyone going over?

In Whitley Bay at the moment but heading back to Drummore 09th Oct till the end of the month. I will be targeting bass, pollack and wrasse off the shore. May also blag a boat trip or three LOL.

Anyone on this forum thinking of heading over? You are more than welcome to call in for a cuppa if you are passing the Clashwhannon Caravan Park - assuming I am not out fishing that is! Its van No 5

    John,
Do me a favor mate, when you're back to Drummore can you try and find out
for me the height of water over the bar at hw springs into the harbour.
I know what the sailing almanac tells me but the local lads would know at
    lot better.
I do know the bar moves from time to time especially in strong northerlies
    My draft is 1.6mts.
Due to visit some time in late Oct( depends on weather )on route from
Maryport to Portpatrick, Drummore a good stop over to wait for favorable tide
    to round the Mull.
Have used east Tarbet bay as a wait over but last time I was there there was
quite a lot of unmarked pots no flags just miles of blue rope floating about.
    Also there's nee pub there

Hi Harry,I e-mailed your post over to a mate of mine in Drummore who is an angler and a boat owner and this is the reply he has just sent me back

" Don’t know the official figures but he will have about 2 hours either side of high water "

        Hope this helps
