New Rod Advice

Komp s for an all rounder for me and it will fish heavy ground if you choose to. I think the tip tornado sport is a different animal to the komp being a more power rod and over gunned for clean ground IMO. There's loads to choose from though and some of the previous rods mentioned are worth a look

I use an sst all over the place and some say they're to soft for heavy ground.

aye the komp sport decent enough rod but I just found the rod a bit soft and floppy with a big sea on seemed to bounce all over place

Yup, speak to stevo (bestnest). His gear is usually tip top mate. £200 is a decent price aswell second hand for a nice one. Tip tornado sport, kompressor sport... Both rods capable of fishing anything you would be aiming for up here and a great shout by the lads above.
