  • fishing for cod

after years of fishing for cod on our coastline, i am still not sure what ground is the best for catching them or what bait or what type of rig to use, i'm not asking this out of igronance, iv'e caught cod at every type of venue or mark, yet when i go to a mark in the back of my mind i'm thinking say a storm beach after a good blow, lug and razor clam must be the dogs bollocks and the bloke next to me is getting them on squid, how come, or you fish a heavy rock mark and you think peeler, and the bloke near you is hauling them in on rag,as for conditions whilst when a good northerly is or has been blowing it,s undoubtably the best time to fish, but it' s not always so, the best sesh i ever had from the shore was early may with a light s/easterly blowing, and as for rigs, rods and reels who really knows ,another season is almost on us,good luck everyone and i hope some of you will catch that monster.

thats fishing, if you knew all those answers you would know everything and fishing would be boring. Confucious say, those that know nowt, think they know it all, those that know a lot realise they know nowt.
