  • Fishing Report - Roker Pier Sunday 6th Sept

    Aye aye chaps

I was out yesterday all day at Roker Pier. Fishing the bend opposit the first steps i got a 2.2lb red rock cod on a rag and squid cocktail on a single hook pully rig at high tide. There was bites at the start of the tide and on High tide but dead in between. Casting around 150yards, hitting the big kelp bed.

The lads on the end were having good sport with decent coalys and tiny whiting, some getting up to 8 keepers in the bags i seen going past. From talking to people coming off id say around 60 fish in total were caugh on the pier yesterday. Crab and rag beign the bait of choice.

At last it seems things are lookign up a bit!
