  • Waders

Getting ready for the shore cod season, I bought some mail order size 10 Ocean Waders. On arrival and having tried them on, the calf area is extremly tight, compared to the rest of the fitting, is this normal or are they all like this?. I had a pair of Oceans about ten years ago heavy duty rubber, but I cant seem to find any around, anybody know where I could get some, unless my calfs shrink the new ocean waders are no good. I have also bought some ron thompson crosswater neoprene and they seem ok. advice welcomed.

The calf area is normally quite 'snug' on all waders. If they're too tight send them back and get the next size. I prefer neoprene waders for the winter, much warmer.

Welcome to the site by the way.

Its a problem buying waders on sites without trying them on. I bought some size 10 Diawa neoprenes and they were far to small=even thought i am a size 10. Had to send back and get 11.

        Which Ones

Got a pair of the heavy rubber Ocean waders which are good no complaints but thinking of replacing them for a neoprene pair. Recommendations please.

            thanks for the replys,

regarding next size up,trouble is I already did that, I take a size nine but bought the size ten, dont fancy taking it any further up size wise, its a bit late to return them as ive had them a good few weeks now, trying to figure out what to do. Im definately keeping the neoprenes.

Dunno what else to suggest mate, give it a few weeks and you'll be glad you bought neoprene.

Excellent, warm, comfortable. Very good grip on the rocks. Only thing I dont like is the plastic clips.
