  • craster pier and area

just been looking at th craster area, initially at the pier, i noticed theres two big rock marks, , one looks fishable at low water, question - is it fishable at high as well ?. i realise if the winds really up its doubtful or safe, but i was thinking if the weather is mild and little wind how productive is it, also the two pier arms at craster, are both as productive as each other, fair drive for me to go for an off chance with no decent info

    cheers

The south "island" is accessible at low water but wouldnt fancy trapping myself on even on a poor tide just incase the sea lifted whilst on. The north "island" is NOT accessible at low water. Never fished the north side of the harbour. Just to add, me n harra fished an open comp last year and waded onto the south island before bottom water, hairy stuff and pointless! Steve Williams pulled fish out from where we waded across....lesson learnt!

i would not of thought it was safe to go onto the the rock marks. Would rather stay on the shore or in douggies boat.

The south island is safe enough to get onto and off but you just have to know the tides. We waded on to get a good pick of the mark, we could have waited 30 mins or so and just walked on no problem.
