i've seen little kids catching them down the side on a line and i suppose it is excuseable if they keep a couple i use to when i was a kid, but that was about 100years ago and there were billions of them, today it is a very different story, but lads netting for them even if it,s a crab net is wrong ,how old were these lads approx.

Just by chance were the people involved polish. There are a couple of polish lads who fish the pier regularly and take everything no matter how small it is.

iv,e also seen the polish lads taking every little postage size dab home and i approached them and told them it was illegal to keep these fish, i just got a load of verbal abuse in polish,[ allthough they understood me perfectly ] and as i was out nummbered about 10 to 1 i decided that caution was the better part of valour, and went back to my mark.
