        rag and squid

rag and half a squid, remember cods have big gobs so bait up big, plus you want to send out a strong scent trail for the cod and any other fish to home in to, specially when there is a big sea running.

favourite distance bait- blacks and tipped off with a white rag (if you can get it)

favourite big fish bait- whole squid with lug or rag

cock clam has not had a mention , another excellent cod bait, i like to mix it with juicy frozen peeler for the deeper rock marks

                everyone has there favourites

I like a mix of rag, razer and squid tied on with cotton. This season will be buying a couple of de-vices to chuck the bait out.
