  • Help and Advice for Roker/Sunderland

Hi All, Tuesday sees my annual day/night session and whilst I've always fished northumberland beaches, rocks and piers, for a change I'm heading southward to Sunderland and Roker pier. Although I work in sunderland everyday I've never had the chance to fish anywhere. I'm thinking Hendon prom? Roker Pier and perhaps the pilot pier? Any advice on the best places to park especially for the last two places would be appreciated. Planning to hit the prom or pier just before high tide fish for a few hours then trek slowly homeward bound north fishing at places on the way back, so any pointers/advice would be gratefully noted and acted upon. Thanks

At the moment people are parking at the bottom of the pier on the side of the road, no double yellows yet you see.

Don't pay the tickets. Appeal. If no signs and no lines they can't do you for parking.

Appealed a couple of times over tickets in a Darlington (they seem pretty tenacious) car park. Claimed I was parking outside a bay but lines were incomplete and confusing, so they dropped the charge after I appealed.
