It can fish very well on the flood - sometimes better than the ebb. I had a few chucks Xmas day night time, nothing at all on the ebb, not even a bite then four fish in four chucks on the flood to about 4.5lb. I'd say fish about 2 hrs either side of LW but be prepared to move around a bit - the fish can come on at any time!

Prob not most productive plan giving flat but got match in a week or so at South side so wanted to scratch a little. Nice fresh yellows and try new rod zziplex hsm 🎣🎣🎣🎣

If fishing over high, there's a nice hole at the Astley, which I've generally found fishes best after HW, maybe an hour into the ebb. Not had much luck up to the top - fish must be there but not feeding or something, as they don't seem to come on until the water's well on it's way out. As you say, there's a nice hole up by the farm - it's fished well when there's been a nice sea on but often just thrown up coaleys if it's been a bit flat. Might be an idea to start by the farm then if not much shows up head to the Astley end to fish it back for an hour or two.

I'd maybe give it another hour to fill up a bit, or start a bit to the left towards Meggies Burn until there's a bit more water in the hole.
