  • What is wrong with this fish????

Alright lads. while gutting a few fish last week I opened a whiting up to find its insides looked like this, can anyone tell me what is wrong with it cos ive never seen owt like it. dunno if its related but the fish was getting on for 1 n a half lb so maybe its a age related disease in fish maybe??
    P.s I didn't eat it after I seen it.

livers gone mate...probably due to xmas over indulgence...............on a more serious note its parasitic worms. the faster u remove the guts from the fish the better... u`ve probably eaten a few over the years unsuspectingly its pretty common and harmless as long ya food is cooked right think they are called codworms
