hi iam going on holiday upto eyemouth on sunday wanting to any marks which is good for pollock and wrasse cant do nowt dangerous as my 11yr old son will be with me and what are the best methods for catching theses spieces

for the wrasse i just put a 1oz drilled bullet lead straight onto my line and a good strong hool like a 3/0 manta, i fish straight down the edge of the rock with either peeler or ragworm. you will get a load of taps followed by a big lunge.

as for the pollock, try spinning a head hooked ragworm or artificial lures like a leadhead or eddystone eels but they are a bit thin on the ground the pollock

I agree with Mick, I have caught most of my Wrasse straight down. One tip though, especially if you are fishing light, keep a tight hold of your rod lol.

Remember, some people are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.

you could try fishing from coldingham beach, take the beach road right next to scoutscroft holiday park, follow road and park opp pub follow path to beach can fish rocks either side, fished it with my daughter found r/h side better for kids. take plenty bait for your hols as only found one tackle shop in berwick prices were unreal.
