    Mull of Galloway

This is the most southerly tip of Scotland and it provides great sport for many anglers. There are many Scottish records held here but anglers are warned to take extreme care as the paths and rocks can become very slippery. Travel to East Tarbet Bay at Mull of Galloway and at the foot of the last rise, before the lighthouse, park at the edge of the road, and walk across the field, past the telegraph pole, following the path on the right to a heather clad slope. The path then leads down to the left where there are several good rock seats to fish from.
Baits to be used – ragworm, lugworm and fish baits. Mackerel can be caught here in summer include Thornback Rays, Conger, Bullhuss, L.S.D’s, Pollack and Wrasse. There is a weed be 20-30 yards out from the rocks and grip leads should be used on strong tides.
The Mull of Galloway is a working farm and Anglers are warned that fences have been erected to prevent stock losses, and care is required.

Cross over the road from east tarbet and go to west tarbet mate, follow the rocks round to the left of the bay and you'll come to a nice gully, float with rag or spin in there and you'll be in to pollock mate
Happy to help, Keen to learn!
