it worth a shot mate, i have had one there before.
i have also seen a few caught from there. not in any numbers, but they are there ;D

you can float for them, or fish off the bottom.
i never targeted them, it just took my bait lol

Welcome to NESA Davie, it's a canny mark to try for Wrasse, a mate of mine used to catch them there quite regularly. Quite often straight down the side of the deeper marks under your feet either float or just try different depths with a lighter rod for a bit of excitement lol.

Best of luck mate, let us know how you get on. Slightly calmer seas might help a bit too

Hi was reading this thread and wondered if you could eat wrasse so typed it into google and came up with this recipe just thought I would add it if it helps anyone.

(Fill a large pot with water and bring to the boil. Once boiling add a brick and a wrasse. Simmer until the wrasse has dissolved, then eat the brick)

LOL think that answered my question

ive fished St Marys quite a bit over the last couple of months theres a few small codlin but ive never had a wrasse.Be prepared to loss quite a bit of gear thiugh.I was talking to a couple of divers a couple of weeks ago and they told me there were a few big wrasse knocking about.
The only fish i want this year is a double figured cod!!!
