  • Dunstinbourgh Castle

Carl and me fished Duns castle last night, tried floating for wrasse but got a small coaley, there was a few lads right on the point taking a few mackey not in great numbers though anyhoo after a few hours floating and know sign of any wrasse we switched to spinning, had a few cast straight out to no avail, had a cast along the side and went straight into a few nice coaley think we had about 12 between us, got a much better take after that thought i'd lost it half way in but it went off like a steam train again, hand baled it up the side, nice pollock about 3lb ish, decide no to keep the fella and let him fight another day, there was a few nervous moments as i though i'd had him out the water to long and the drop back in might of been a bit to high but lone behold he got his bearings and headed away. all in all a nice little sesh.

Carl will you put the pics up please

Nice one! That pollack looks a good one. What are they like on spinning gear, do they give a good fight? I've never caught one before.

                  Cheers
