  • Canny session last night

Fished last night from high tide down to low. Started about 8.30pm, lovely night, warm breeze, slightest bit of surf rolling in.

First fish was this wee fella, thats a 6oz sinker next to him for comparison. Very very small whiting

Next up was another small whiting about 10 inches, didn't bother with a picture, then later in the night I got my first eel:

It was good to catch something I haven't caught before even if my line got a bit tangled!

The best of the night though were these three beauties. Only ever caught one bass before so to get three in the same night was such a buzz. Wow are they lively or what! When putting them back in they shot off like rockets!

Here is the three of them:

Was a good night even if I have only had two hours sleep since I got in.

    Cheers
    Dean

Well done there mate - yep, the bass are great fun, especially if you go after them on the lighter gear. I find they often swim in towards you at first so you think you've missed the fish, only to find them going mental as you get them towards the shore

        Cheers lads.
G-Force, exactly what happened mate. I thought I had lost them all but they went mad when they got close in. Just wish I had a light bass rod, like you say it would be much more fun!
