Up to now it is only a day trip ,but if we start to catch well, who knows ,we might stay up all night ,but we won't be camping, we will be fishing all the time ,as for sleep, i will be taking my carp chair , so i will get a few zzz's in when no one is looking. As for the other remark about it would be the last place where one of the lads would go , we are only going there for a day out ,the crack and a few fish is a bonus , it is comfortable ,a very easy carry and the car is safe as you can see it. We know it is not the best place for fishing in scotland and we are under no illusions about this , having a good and pleasant day or nights fishing is far above catching loads of fish and being uncomfortable, with miles to walk back to the car.But it is horses for courses i suppose in this case .--Karl

I know what you're saying Karl, but one of my favourite Pollack marks is less then half a mile from a public car park and very rarely gets fished. I know this because seagulls still nest there and you can only fish it later on in the season. The car is safe, I'm safe and the scenery is fantastic.

I know where you are coming from dave, but like i say it is literally 15 yards from the car to the beach and at 22 stone you don't want to be walking 50 yards carrying gear, never mind half a mile, so i will stick to the venue that we picked, if there is no fish then i will blame my mate jeff as he is a lot smaller than me so it will be his fault, however if we get a lot of fish then I have picked a good spot ,i can't lose which ever way it goes ,but thanks for the imput--Karl

to be honest karl, that'd be the last place i fished after travelling all the way over there.
not worth a shot during the day,but fishes really well after dark, could be proved wrong though.:d

No problem Karl, have a good trip anyway. I'm hopefully up there for a few days in August.

Let us know how you got on anyway.

Spinning over high water late in the evening or early morning in front of Terrally Riding Centre might get you a bass if they're about. Fish baits will throw up doggies and huss off that beach.
