The prosecution have to prove BEYOND ALL REASONABLE DOUBT (thats 100%-if they are only 99% he would get off) this lad was dumping the tryes and fly tipping.
This is the basis of criminal law.
If there is any doubt he was not he will get off.
Civil law is a lower burden-thats why its easier to prove cases at court.
In civil you have to prove a likleyhood.
