Alright chaps . I've never fished for about 20 years. But my 12 year old lad has roped me back in any decent spots around the Tynemouth or Whitley area you could recommend? I noticed a few lads fishing over the wall.over the road from the blue reef aquarium the other day is it worth a look or not?

Most of the marks around there will be hard going with a 12yr old. Your much better off heading into the river for somewhere to fish. The irony is at the minute the river marks are fishing much better than a lot of the beaches and rocks! Not sure about north bank of the Tyne but I'm sure some of the lads here will give you a heads up. Most of them are easy access and comfortable fishing with the bairn. Best of luck"In order to becomes old and wise, first you must be young and stupid."

you are best to head up river to walker riverside park or pottery bank,st peters basin,or green door st peters baqsin, you can fish out of your car at these marks and safe to fish, you don't need to cast far and all baits are catching with just size codling and flounders, this part of the river has fished well the past month. davy.PB
