all right lads got back from whithorn this aferternoon had a great time got up there friday morning 10oclk fished straight off the monument tried spinning on light gear 1st chuck got me my 1st ever garfish wierd looking thing and it covered me in scales, then it was steady away catching pollock around 1lb mark no signs of any mackeral.saturday was even better tried the harbour and bagged me a pb coalfish 2lb4oz fishig on the bottom with ragworm and squid and s couple of bullheads on the float wanted to have a go for mullet floating bread but it got a bit choppy when the wind turned off the sea.an old bloke and his missus had a coalfish around 5lb it was a belter of a fish caught it on a strip of fresh salmon.me and me brother then tried a mark straight off the caravan site till half 9 last night got five dogfish kept losng gear in the kelp so went back to the float got loads of small wrasse and pollock great fun me brother got a wrasse around 2 1/2 lb still no mackeral about, the weather was spot on and conditions were perfect when the wind, dropped me thighs are killing me off climbing up and down the cliffs but it was well worth it,cant wait to go back next year sorry got no photos havent got a digi camera yet thats next on me list.
