if you're not wanting to travel far, try opposite the astley arms at sluice or behind the alcan containers at cambois...

bear in mind it's low tide at 2300ish so back of the silos would be emptied out - you could try the beach at the bottom of the ramp instead which is in the same ball park
      Ooh a new vid!

Doh! Hadn't checked the tide times!

What about one of the rock marks, sluice or cambois?

As Tony suggested try the beach at the bottom of the ramp at cambois. Short casts with ragworm will put you among small bass, flounders and the odd codling.

If I were fishing tonight, then cambois would be my prefered venue.

It's an excellent mark that can produce some hectic sessions, coupled with easy and safe parking and relative peace and quiet. There are plenty schoolie bass up there but you'll struggle to get a sized one out. There are also any amount of flounders and I have taken codling all through the year. Coalies show quite often and at times can be a pain, especially when they don't come any bigger than 5 inches.

Your trip out though lads and the final decision rests with you, but take that advice into consideration.

Behind the silo's there is a ramp leading onto the beach, fish just to the left of the rocks on the beach. Cast short and ragworm outfished crab last time I was up. The beach itself fishes best 2 hours either side of low water.
