  • mackerel being caught on shields pier

    just been down for water and seen 3 lads leaving with coalies and mackki from the end at low water sea is quite flat and wind is light so its looking good they said they had a few seen them too

          we where at shields yesterday and there only two macky caught when we were there but loads of coalies,me and my brother had around a hundred between us, all but 5 returned.the same lad caught the 2 macky about 2 hours between each one ,the water was very clear so if the weather holds up it should'nt be that long before the big shoals come in

            nowt there but coley most of which are under size,seen 1 or 2 macky caught thats it,if just a little bit of action your after shrimp feather and a spinner produces fish.

              me dad had around 30 or 40 laqst night 1 mile off also a few the back of tynemouth pier
              Beat them in their own back yard
