    Is Drurage Bay any good?
I don't believe that there are any fish in the North Sea.

I've only tried it a couple of times, but it seems a canny spot. Right now there's a lovely big sandbar channel and deep drop (at high tide) at this point here: Flash Earth ...satellite and aerial imagery of the Earth in Flash - north of cresswell, park in the small entrance bit halfway between the 2 proper car parks, opposite the big lake.

There's a lot of shells, crab bits and dead bait fish there when we walk the dogs on a low tide, so certainly plenty of food. I've only fished it daylight on a whim each time - I'd suggest trying dusk and very early dawn tides for your best bet. Vary the marks from the edges of the rocks at each end to the long sands, but walk it at low tide to find the holes. Where we walk the dogs at the weekend is where I marked - that sandbar wasn't there a few weeks back but now it's mad:

          This was one side:

this was the other, about 50yds out:

Normally that area is one flat flood right up the beach.... the gully had to be about 4' or more deep at low tide in some parts, hence the first pic Gromit is swimming through it!... On the smaller tides the sandbar with the drop stays open - but watch as it can fill in behind you where he's swimming and very quick - it's also soft underfoot in places.

Was thinking about fishing from low tide to just over high tide on Saturday.

those pics are the tide half and half. I fished the sandbar about 90mins before to half after and it didn't cover it on a small-ish tide over the bank-hol week - lots of bits but didn't connect to owt. Defo fish there though, this was mid-morning when I went!

I fish Druridge sometimes. Beautiful place to fish. Loads of flounder but hardly cast any distance at all - 10-30yards. Little turbot too. I ve also had some good dabs at dusk and at night. Whiting in winter and codling if its rough or just after. Can be disappointing in the summer but that's true of anywhere really innit?
                  PBs...Cod 8lb2oz.. Turbot 3lb2oz.. Whiting 1lb8oz.. Coalie 1lb9oz.. Flounder 1lb7oz.. Dab 15oz.. Plaice 13oz.. Bass 1lb 6oz

Fished next to the pipe, got soaked, still no fish, not even a nibble but there was plenty of weed.
Are there any fish in the North sea?

thats it 20 yard for the flatties, its very easy to over cast and catch nowt. can be very good for numbers of flats but very often undersized. its years since i fished it but used to have good sport if you're not bothered about big fish.
