I was wondering what your opinions were on the anyfish anywhere club or beach for fishing the rivers and clean beaches.Im after something a little lighter than my current rod.

HI mate,I had the matchman club, lovely lightweight rod, user friendly, great for clean ground /estuary fishing.I used 5oz leads on it and it casted lovely.most of my other rods are heavy ground rods so it felt a little strange at first, only downside was if it was windy they tend to bounce around a bit, otherwise a great lighter rod.cheers Graham

I'm going to use the S word.
I have the Sonik NCT 5oz version and it's bluddy cracking. I had to throw that in just to rile those who knock the crap out of Sonik.
This rod feels good, looks good and is absolutely great on casting. Even the 5oz is used with a 6oz and bait and I hurl it all out at a fair old whack.
Bite detection is fantastic being thinner than most rods.
I'm not saying that Sonik haven't been plagued by problems on some rods but I haven't had any problems with either the SKS, the NCT or the SK3. Oh, I lost an inner ring on my SK3 and they just swapped the rod for me in Blyth. You can't ask better than that.
From them all though it's the NCT I like best and would recommend it to anyone.
I haven't been out for a while now but am getting itchy feet so if you fancy chucking a few leads out in the Seaham to Horden area just let me know and I'll meet you.Told the missus I was going on a diet. I'd only eat what I caught

Bought the son the clubman from nets a couple of months ago, cracking rod, excellent bite detection and can whack a 6oz plus bait a fair way, he fishes it alongside my axcellerator and wind hasn't really been an issue for him, i'd recommend it
